Civil Construction Labourer
We are a construction company with a small crew specializing in utility trenching, generator pads, emergency response excavation, EV chargers, site restores, and remediation. We are looking for a Labourer to join us.
Pay is based on experience, ranging between $25-$32 per hour.
We work on sites across southern Ontario.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Assist in preparing job sites prior to projects.
- Load and unload material, tools and equipment into vehicles and trailers required at construction sites each morning.
- Clean work site of any tools, debris and equipment, ensuring housekeeping is consistently maintained.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Operate hand tools as directed
- Direct traffic at construction sites.
- Raking, shovelling, unloading trucks and maintenance tasks
- Digging trenches, raking and shovelling
- Cleaning debris and removing waste materials from sites
- Assisting equipment operators.
- Miscellaneous tasks.
Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years of construction experience.
- Valid DZ license a huge asset.
- Experience in operating a skid steer.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to work long hours Monday to Friday.
- Able to meet at our yard each morning (located in Newmarket) for loading and unloading the trucks, machines, materials and trailers for the day’s projects.
